DLF Cruise

I sure wish i had the money to go. my mom has Lupus and is in her end stages of it but she is very upbeat and a fighter so hopefully she will be with our family for awhile longer i don't know what i would do without her. when my mom found out she had Lupus there were no support groups for it. finally someone created a group so my mom and i went i waws only 10 but i wanted to know what was going on with my mom and why she was so sick. Then the president who also had Lupus retired because so much was going on in her life so she ask my mom to take over and of course she said yes so i told her i would help any way i could i was 14 by this time. my mom did alot with getting the word out about Lupus we collected money for the members of the group who could not afford their meds ,we held christmas parties collected donated gifts to give to the Lupus patients, we visited them in the hospital and then when my mom started getting worse so she had to retire also she tried to get someone to take her place but no one wanted to take the job so the support group just dispanded but my mom still takes calls from people who need to talk. i admire her so much she as talked people out of commiting sucide. to this day she will still take calls even though she is no longer president. sorry about the long messege but i just wanted to let the Dorough family know that i respect what they are doing with the DFL. I just wish i could meet them and tell them in person. but this is better than nothing. Love, Amanda Q. i/i

No I will not be attending the cruise this year. I will definitely be attending this year. If anyone on here will definitely be attending the cruise in 2006 let me know and keep me in mind if you will need a roommate. I would be interested in meeting a lot of you on the next cruise or maybe before. I am attending R&R 2006 that is run by A Lasting World in May 2006. If any of you might be attending let me know. I will also be attending the camp they will be doing during the summer of 2006. i/i
